Donate blood in Quebradilla de Cartago on Sunday

You can join the noble cause to save lives on November 12th, when the Blood Bank will have its 25thcommunity blood donation day in Quebradilla de Cartago.

Officials will assist residents who want to join between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. It is the second time that the community participates in this initiative. Last time, 110 donors heed the call.

Adriana González, coordinator of the Promotion area of the National Blood Bank, explained that during 2017 they have managed to receive almost 27 thousand donors, thanks to strategies they have been developing to achieve blood collection.

For example, each month at least two days of community donation are held, two companies visit each day and donors are received at the headquarters in Zapote, with the goal of receiving 120 blood units per day.

For December they are planning three community days.

The BNS is also carrying out the recruitment of companies interested in becoming places for blood collection, as well as communities where community donation days can be held. Those who wish to join these initiatives can call the number 22-83-31-21 and ask for Adriana González.
