Earthquake shook the country

The National Seismological Network (RSN) announced there was a 5.4-magnitude earthquake in Drake on Thursday morning.

The tremor was felt in the South Pacific, Central Pacific, Central Valley and Chiriqui of Panama. It occurred 33 kilometers northwest of Drake, Osa and it had a depth of 24 kilometers.

The earthquake was caused by the subduction of the Coco plate (superficial processes).
