Employees of the Judicial Branch will return to work

The Coalition of Trade Unions of the Judiciary announced they will return to work after the strike at that institution was declared as legal.

On Tuesday, the Labor Court of Appeals of the Second Judicial Circuit of San José reaffirmed the legality of the strike in the Judicial Power.

The Coalition groups the National Association of Criminal Investigators (ANIC), the Union of the Judiciary (Sindijud) and the Union of Judicial Workers (Sitrajud), among others.

The Judicial Trade Union Coalition, in accordance with Article 709 of the Labor Code, will convene the three branches of the Republic to demand the compulsory negotiation established by law in these cases. We propose to avoid the vile impoverishment of the Costa Rican people and guarantee the defense of the Rule of Law,”
