Executive confident that relations with the Assembly remain good after Álvarez’ resignation

The government saw Antonio Álvarez Desanti as a mediator in the Legislature regarding the discussion of various projects. The announcement that he will leave the presidency of the Legislature makes the Executive think about the consequences.

Now the Congress is in the hands of Vice President José Alberto Alfaro, a legislator from the Libertarian Movement, with whom they hope to have the same or better relationship so that the goals can be achieved.

Alfaro will lead the Plenary during the extraordinary period, where in addition to the public employment project, the Executive intends to discuss the tax reform projects.

It is clear that the Libertarian Movement is against new taxes. However, the Presidential House trusts that Alfaro assumes the responsibility of his new and temporary position.

I believe that the legislator who holds the presidency of the Legislative Assembly has a duty that is not necessarily a partisan duty,”

said the Minister of the Presidency, Sergio Alfaro, hoping everyone has the best dialogue with him.

The Minister did not want to refer to the position from PAC, which asked the candidate to leave his seat.
