Families set up camps on the beach

Families from the central valley remain camped along beaches on the Pacific while enjoying the last of holiday vacations. On average a family of five will spend ¢50,000 ($101) per day. Food vendors report that business is difficult as most bring their own food. A private resort in Puntarenas charges ¢3,750 per day for adults and ¢2,750 children under 12 to camp on the property.
