Fifth part of the car ownership taxes have already been paid

According to the National Insurance Institute (INS), one fifth of the rights for circulation (car ownership tax) that were put to charge for the 2017 period have already been paid.

For this year, the total number amounted to 1.4 million receipts.

According to data provided by the state insurer, most receipts have been canceled by the private car owners (186,787), meaning 21.33% of the total expected for this type of vehicle.

On the other hand, those who have paid less are the owners of taxis and motorbikes, as the obligation has only been canceled by 11.77% and 15.70%, respectively, equivalent to about 46,000 overall receipts.

In the case of freight vehicles (light and heavy), a quarter of the receipts for collection were already covered.

The regular collection of this right extends until December 31st. Those who do not cancel before that date could face road fines.
