Fire destroyed homes in Alajuela

A family from Alajuelita sector lost everything when a fire consumed their home on Sunday.

According to the Fire Department report, the 200-square-meter house was completely destroyed by the fire that started after 1 a.m.

Fortunately, there were no victims.

Two other structures were partially affected. An 80-square-meter house only lost 8 meters, while a 600-square-meter apartment structure, received damages in 20-square-meters.

Firefighters took care of the emergency with 4 units of fire extinguishers, fast attacks to the flames, rescue and tank equipment.

Authorities are working to determine the causes of this incident.
