First direct flight from KLM arrived on Tuesday

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Company inaugurated its direct flight to Costa Rica on Tuesday night.

The airline will fly twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) between San José and Amsterdam in the European winter season (November to March) and will use a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with capacity for 294 passengers.

The departure flight from Europe will be from Schiphol Airport.

Boet Kreiken, Executive Vice President of the KLM Customer Experience, stated that

in recent years, Costa Rica has developed as a very attractive tourist destination for many Dutch and European tourists. We are happy to start operations in Costa Rica and of course, we also welcome Costa Ricans to travel with KLM to Amsterdam or one of our many destinations in Europe.”
