Fishermen clung to a buoy for two days before their rescue

Coast Guard police and private boats rescued two fishermen who had been missing since May 11th. However, there is still one person whose whereabouts are unknown.

The rescued fishermen are an adult man and a minor.

According to information from the authorities, they rescued a fisherman named Mendoza, who had been clinging to buoy for two days. His son, 17, was rescued by a yacht and warned that his father was adrift.

Another person, who sailed with them in a fishing boat and was identified as “The Cat”, remains missing.

According to a Coast Guard police,

They were on a boat called El Tillo and on May 12th it appeared to have drift through the sector of Naranjo.”

One of the men was transferred to Herradura and the other one to the dock of Quepos, both in delicate condition. The boat sank 17 miles from Foruno, near Caño Island, South Pacific.
