Former ombudsman and former communication minister were appointed ambassadors

On Tuesday, the Governing Council appointed the new representative to the Organization of American States (OAS) and the ambassadors to Honduras, Guatemala, and Belgium, from November 1st. In addition, they appointed the representative of Ecuador as of December 1st.

Montserrat Solano Carboni, former ombudsman, will serve as ambassador representative before the Organization of American States (OAS).

Mauricio Herrera, former Minister of Communication, was appointed as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Costa Rica in Honduras.

Emilio Arias Rodríguez will serve as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica in Guatemala.

Sergio Alfaro Salas, former Minister of the Presidency, will be the ambassador in the Kingdom of Belgium and concurrent before the European Union, while Nury Solís Mata will be the ambassador in Ecuador.
