Free coffee to compete in Coffee Masters

A 23-year-old young man opened a small stand in Los Yoses. His goal was to collect $ 800 to afford the plane ticket to London, England, and compete against 19 other experts in the coffee-making technique.

But he did not sell cups of coffee, he gave them away. In exchange, he asked for a voluntary contribution.

When they chose me, I asked if the organizers of the contest paid the expenses and told me it didn’t … I then opened this stand and now, I can buy the ticket

said the young man while he was preparing an espresso.

Customers keptarriving and Remy Molina could not miss the opportunity to “sell” a coffee.

When Molina was 19 years old, he started working in a coffee shop and there, he learnt the barista technique.

Since then, it is his passion, in fact, he has a tattoo of a cup and a coffee plant on his left arm.

People usually think that the barista is the only person involved, but I want everyone to know that there are many people behind this… The coffee I use I receive is produced in Guarco de Cartago,

he explained while preparing a latte.

This will be the first time that Remy will compete with 19 other participants from around the world in 7 stages, in which elements such as sampling, infusion methods and origins are analyzed.

This young man was selected by Coffee Masters organizers after he presented this video.
