The recess in fuel prices that came into effect on September 1st did not last long: the Regulatory Authority of Public Services (ARESEP) approved an increase in fuel prices.
As consequence, diesel will rise 24 colones and super and regular fuels will rise 13 colones.
This new increase will come into effect after being published in La Gaceta. Thus, a liter of super fuel will cost 579 colones, regular fuel will cost 554 colones and diesel will cost 467 colones.
ARESEP approved the increases requested by Recope, claiming that it is due to changes in international oil prices.
