Gender gap Index was published and it is worrying

the Gender Gap Index, study conducted by the Center for Collaborative Leadership and Women from the INCAE, was published.

However, its data generated concern, as stated by Roberto Artavia, former director of the Central American Institute of Business Administration.

Artavia declared that one of the big concerns is that three or four generations must pass to close the gender gap in the world. In addition the economic, gender gap widened again.

This is consequence of the 2008-and-2009 crisis because it increased the percentage of unemployment, which affected women first and widened the economic gaps.

Artavia noted that the gap in the areas of technology is particularly wide. So that, more participation of women in that area shoud be promoted.
