Government must rush in order to execute the extraordinary budget

One of the priority projects that the Executive sent to the Legislative Assembly is the extraordinary budget for 2016, which is intended to address part of the emergency caused by Hurricane Otto.

The main problem that the Government faces with this issue is time, because in the worst of scenarios, the budget would be approved on December 26th, so it would only have four days to implement it.

The resources, which are close to 2 billion colones, will be used to address part of the emergency in the cantons affected by the hurricane, and to solve the problem with Guanacaste’s water supply, which was also declared a national emergency.
