Government sent second extraordinary budget for over ‎¢300 billion

The government sent a second extraordinary budget to the Legislative Assembly for ‎¢318 billion.

The first extraordinary budget for ¢600 billion was approved by legislators last Thursday in second reading to pay the debt. They waited only a day to send the new request.

Liberationist legislator Silvia Hernández, president of the legislative forum, said she will create an uneven sub-commission on Tuesday, whose task will be creating a report on the issue in a week and a half, so that they can meet the 15-day deadline for its analysis.

This second request is no surprise for legislators, since the Head of the Treasury, Rocío Aguilar, had already warned about a possible request in August. This extraordinary budget joins the ordinary budget for the economic functioning in 2019, with a figure that exceeds ‎¢10 billion and represents a 17.5% increase compared to the budget for 2018.
