Hecho Aquí con Identidad Fair 2016 will be held this weekend!

In La Antigua Aduana, from December 2nd to December 4th, the second edition of Hecho Aquí con Identidad Fair will take place. Costa Ricans will have access to innovative products made by 150 craftsmen and 30 designers from every part of the country.

You can buy traditional craftsmanship made with raw material from native communities, such as ceramics, wood, leather and fabric.
Moreover, contemporary, glass art, clothes, accessories, toys, and reused materials will be part of this fair.

The event promotes the growth of artisanal, national, cultural entrepreneurship through the interaction between participants and the public,

declared Loida Pretiz, consultant in cultural undertakings from the Ministry of Culture and Youth (MCJ).

According to Ada Acuña, director of the Center for Artistic and Cultural Production (CPAC) from the MCJ, this activity is a way to support national craftsmen and designers who create synergies, share knowledge, generate alliances and want to share their wonderful creations to all the public.

The National Institute of Women (INAMU) will join this activity with a parallel fair. Among the activities, 27 artisan women were summoned to be part of the VII Entrepreneur Women Fair. Since their work is related to cultural identity, they were included in Hecho Aquí con Identidad Fair 2016.
