Heredia pays future water today

Experts predict that the next wars will be over water. Costa Rica has already seen some serious disputes:

*Atenas and Grecia got in an argument for the construction of an aqueduct.
*People form Sardinal, in Guanacaste, prevented the construction of a pipeline to carry their water to large resorts.
*Drinking water is the public service with more complaints to the Constitutional Court.

However, people from Heredia don’t want war, but water. Therefore, they are paying ¢15 more per cubic meter and have managed to save up to $2 million to buy four farms with water sources. The amount is not that high, considering the services only costs them ¢350 a month.
