Hospital de Día, near Guápiles Medical Center, aims to reduce complications and the amount of patients in Emergency services.
Medical center director, doctor Iliana Musa, said that this service is available for those patients who require daily hospital care but who can receive an outpatient treatment. As a result, they can go home to have dinner and sleep and return the following day to the medical center for further treatment.
According to Musa, they have treated 10 patients who have expressed their satisfaction with the service.
The new “Hospital de Día” is located in house 14 next to Guápiles Medical Center and it is being renovated.
This is one of the projects implemented by the health center to guarantee quality and care to its patients.
