For the first time, Costa Rican students with disabilities have participated in a meeting that informs them about their options in order to continue their training process.
The activity is called “I choose my future” and it is taking place in Luis Dobles Segreda School in La Sabana. It is estimated that about a thousand students from 70 schools around the country will visit the institution.
On the site, students can get information on technical courses, employment options, labor rights, among others.
Young people had different training activities on fields such as plastics industry, textile, agronomy industry, conversational English, metal mechanics, customer service, motorcycle repair, patients’ caregivers, among others.
The activity is organized by the Ministry of Public Education (MEP), the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS), the National Center for Inclusive Education (CENAREC) and the National Learning Institute (INA).
