ICE saves 135 billion colones for labor mobility

A total of 1,398 workers of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) benefited from labor mobility programs over the last four years, which allowed savings of ₡ 135,000 million.

According to Human Management data from ICE, this allowed a reduction of the fixed rate of 2.76%.

This year, the Institute implemented two voluntary labor mobility plans in January and August, which totaled 724 cases, more than 50% of the 1,398 employees who retired.

The corporate manager of Administration and Finance, Francisco Garro, said that in addition,

the ICE has made great efforts to increase operational efficiency and ensure the expansion of their business.”

Garro cited the freezing of vacant positions, the approval of the single salary that already has 176 people and the implementation of teleworking, developed by 302 people so far, the decrease in the payment of bonuses -guards, availability, exclusive dedication, among others- and the reduction of the budget destined to overtime.
