In the coming days, Constructora MECO will place a pipe around Max Peralta Hospital

The construction of the new, sanitary sewer in Cartago will reach a key point when Constructora MECO, company in charge of the project, places the pipe around Max Peralta Hospital.

Due to the heavy traffic and the access of emergency vehicles, the work will be carried out in a close coordination with the local municipality, the Project-Implementation Unit, the Administrative Board of Cartago Electrical Services (JASEC) and authorities from the medical center.

The section near the hospital will require excavation, building wells, paving and asphaltingl. Such works will be executed over a 1-month period. During that time, Constructora MECO will move the machinery away and stop working when ambulances entry is required.

For the entry of emergency vehicles, a shoulder (an emergency, stopping lane) will be enabled. Regarding other vehicles, closures and traffic detours, designed to facilitate the movement and avoid inconvenience to drivers, will be prepared.

It is estimated that the work will be finished within 18 months and near 10 million dollaras will be invested.
