International buyers arrive in Costa Rica for business mission

Buyers from Japan, Ukraine, Norway, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, France and Argentina will participate for the first time in the Buyers Trade Mission (BTM) business round, in which Costa Rican companies show their exportable products.

In addition, buyers from 12 states of Mexico, 10 of the United States, and regions such as Nova Scotia and Vancouver will participate in the event, as well as companies from around nine islands from the Caribbean.

These entrepreneurs will visit the country in search of fresh and exotic agricultural products, quality and value-added food, plants and flowers of various species and innovative services. The BTM will be held from September 19th to 21st.

They also look for differentiated industrial products, such as parts for the aerospace industry, furniture, chemical-pharmaceutical and construction products, among others. Large export companies and suppliers located in the country will participate to establish chains for export.

We hope to position Costa Rica as a talented country with extensive export experience and a ready, sophisticated and professional export sector,”

said Álvaro Piedra, Export Director of PROCOMER.

For the second consecutive year, the BTM incorporates the services sector in the business conference, and for the first time the audiovisual production sector will have the opportunity to meet with content buyers.

To date, PROCOMER has registered 500 exporting companies and 340 registered international buyers.

Those interested in taking part in this business conference will be able to submit their information until August 31st. Visit www.btmcr.com.
