Japanese green vehicles for Costa Rica

The Embassy of Japan and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs closed a 2,7 million dollar deal to buy high-tech green vehicles. The agreement was signed by Chancellor Manuel González and Japanese ambassador, Mamoru Shinohara. The deal was reached thanks to the Economic and Social Development program project.

The vehicles will reportedly be assigned to the Ministry of Enviroment and Energy (Minae) and to The Ministry of Planning (Mideplan). According to Kazu Hagihara, second secretary of the embassy of Japan, their assignment will depend on the needs each institution has.

The brand of the vehicles is unknown, as well as how many cars will arrive to the country.
