Kivú cannot longer be exhibited

Minister of Environment Edgar Gutiérrez announced that Lion Kivú should not be exhibited any longer in Costa Rica.

As indicated by the national authorities, Simon Bolívar Foundation (Fundazoo) made a request in order to ask for an extension in the construction of a facility in Santa Ana, which is valued at $ 500,000.

Nevertheless, an order was issued: the lion cannot no longer be exhibited to public while the request is studied.

2 months ago, the MINAE along with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) requested to send the lion to Santa Ana. However, the order wasn’t followed.
