A lane on Route 32 was blocked by a landslide between San José and Limón, and the incident alerted the authorities of the Transit Police and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT).
Mario Calderón, director of the Transit Police, explained that the landslide occurred one kilometer from the Zurquí tunnel in San José-Guápiles direction.
According to the official, the decisions regarding the roadwork have been taken by the engineers in charge of the National Highway Council (CONAVI) for emergency care.
This situation occurred after the last days of heavy rains in the sector.
