Legislators rush debate on project against tax fraud

The bill to fight tax evasion will be revisited as a priority by the Congressional Committee on Financial Affairs, said the president of the parliamentary body, Rosibel Ramos.

The legislator explained that Casa Presidencial was also committed to promote a faster approval of this initiative, which includes the controversial proposal for a registry of corporations’ shareholders.

Ramos noted that another priority of the commission will be to conclude the reform process for the Efficiency in the Administration of Public Resources Bill, known as the State General Fund.

This initiative would allow the Ministry of Finance to use idle resources of state institutions to pay public debt.
