Liberia’s water outage

The Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers announced that Liberia will not have drinking water on June, 20th 2016.

The suspension is due to maintenance work to be performed on a 350 MM main water pipeline, located in Barrio Moracia, which supplies water to the entire canton.

The most affected districts will be Pueblo Nuevo, Moracia, La Gallera, Gualberto, Curime, La Arena, Juanislama, El Real, Felipe Perez, Camarenos. The institute does not have plans to fully interrupt the service in other areas of Liberia, but a drop in the amount of water and pressure is expected.

As a preventive measure, the institute will provide a water wagon to supply drinking water. The works will start at 06:00 a.m. and the service will be reset at around 02:00 p.m.

The administration suggests the affected population to take actions in order to avoid being affected by this measure.
