Maira by Ponderosa
The eleventh Costa Rican giraffe was born in January 23rd this year in Ponderosa Adventure Park. It was named Maira, it weighed 42 kilograms, and measured 1.45 meters.

said Tania Pivovarova, veterinarian in charge of the site. She stated that the development of the giraffe has been adequate these weeks.
Maira is the daughter of Alika, who is a new mother, and Mao, the alpha male of the herd, completed by Roxy, Adriana, Mya, Isabel, Lydia, Ileana, Luciano and Scotty. But this year the group will grow, since Roxy and Adriana are pregnant, and their deliveries are scheduled for May or June.
Lydia was born in January 2017. A new zebra named Chapman was also born recently.
