Mario Redondo proposes the closure of CONAVI

The candidate of the Christian Democratic Alliance party, Mario Redondo, presented his government program on Tuesday afternoon in the auditorium of Universidad Latina in San Pedro de Montes de Oca.

Redondo, current legislator of the Legislative Assembly, based his plan on five thematic axes: economic growth, social solidarity, high values, efficient public management at the service of the people and protection of the environment.

One of the points that stand out among his proposals is that, in case of unethical actions or crimes against public resources, the President of the Republic, the magistrates and legislators can be dismissed.

We must return to the people the possibility of acting in a timely manner when democracy and institutions are marked by acts of corruption. We must return power to the people,”

said Redondo, who says he has already worked out a reform to the bill that would make that situation possible.

In addition, another important aspect in the proposals is the closure of CONAVI and the end of the contract with Unops for the construction of public works, but also, the aim to open the monopoly of Recope and break Riteve.

Another of the points highlighted in the ADC program is the sale of Banco de Costa Rica and BICSA to capitalize the pension scheme of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund.

With this, he wants to avoid increasing the retirement age and contribution quotas.
