A mob attacked a group of policemen on Monday afternoon. The confrontation occurred when officers of the Public Force went to the sector of Los Almendros, after receiving an alert of motorcycle theft in Barranca de Puntarenas.
According to police sources in the area, the report received indicated that a young man had been robbed of his motorcycle,
apparently, this person was in a grocery store when strangers approached him and took his motorbike. Upon arriving at the site, a crowd of neighbors received the police with stones. However, the aggression was repelled and the motorcycle recovered,”
said the police.
For now, the identity of the vicitm is unknown.
