Moody’s evaluated CABEI credit ratings

Moody’s Rating Agency confirmed the long-and-short-term credit ratings of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI): they are at ‘A1’ and ‘P-1’, respectively. The outlook is stable.

The Rating Agency considers as fundamental point the reforms to its constitutive agreement, which will allow to further diversify the loan portfolio and improve future processes of capital increase.

It also emphasized that improvements in reported levels of capital adequacy and liquidity indicators continue to support BCIE great, financial strength.

In addition, Nick Rischbieth, president of the organization, declared that the Bank has started to diversify its loan portfolio, which has been noted by the rating agencies as a key factor to improve the risk rating of the institution.
