More than 2000 tourists arrived in Limón by cruise

The second cruise of the season arrived on October 13th to Puerto Limón with 2,129 tourists and 896 crew on board. The Island Princess ship sailed on October 7th from Florida, United States.

Limón received visitors with a new two-hour tour consisting of the Caribbean coast’s journey by sea. The route goes from the dock to Uvita Island, the journey is led by local guides and is done in a boat with local sailors.

The authorities of the Board of Port Administration and Economic Development of the Atlantic Slope (Japdeva) expect that Limón will now be one of the most attractive destinations in the Caribbean, with the aim of helping that industry generate more jobs and opportunities for the people of the province.

Yesterday, the city was filled with music, rhythm, food and example of citizen participation and integration during the traditional Carnival of Limón. Today a dozen communities will welcome thousands of tourists with hospitality, who decided to explore the province on a tour. In November, Japdeva announces the coordination of artistic exhibitions at the Hernán Garrón Terminal as part of the new attractions for cruise passengers in search of a better experience and the generation of recommendations or repurchases as a destination,”
