Mouthwatering chocolate fair!

Dozens of people who were passing by the students walk in downtown San José had the opportunity to literally lick their fingers with the wide variety of products in the Chocolate Fair.

Adults and children did not resist to try the flashy and delicious chocolates that were exhibited by 35 small entrepreneurs, mostly from Costa Rican.

This kind of activities are promoted by the Municipality of San José to reactivate trade in Chinatown.

These initiatives aim to support small and medium enterprises, promoting the artisan Costa Rican chocolate. We know cocoa from our country is recognized worldwide for its quality and we also want people to get used to these kinds of events in Chinatown,”

said Johnny Araya, Mayor of the capital.

Joaquin Rodríguez, owner of “Chocolarte” was one of the entrepreneurs who participated in the show who stressed the importance of promoting these activities and local businesses.

This is the third time that these events are held in Chinatown. They will take place once a month. On the first occasion the Municipality promoted the sale of oriental food, the second time it was the turn for “coperos” and now was the opportunity was for chocolate lovers.
