Nanotechnology can be used to control pollution in water and air

With the idea of offering people a more comfortable and efficient alternative, a company is providing water treatment service for swimming pools, pipes and irrigation systems as well as air purification using nanotechnology in Costa Rica.

Sky Water Company works in water engineering and air conditioners using ultraviolet light. José Isaac Brenes, the products’ distributor, said that the company has been working in Costa Rica for approximately 5 years.

We use UV filters to purify water and air, eliminating 99.9% viruses, bacteria and spores. We also offer catalytic conditioners for water, which works using nanotechnology (…) which allows cleaning pipes and taps without limescale buildup,”

said Brenes. According to the distributor, this also contributes to  save 20% of water because they will protect the water systems.

Brenes also mentioned they can achieve a 50% chlorine saving (or any other additive used to clean water), thanks to the purification of those products.

The most important features of this system are:

-The products regulate the PH, dirt and eliminate viruses and bacteria from the water.

-It doesn’t require any maintenance, or electricity.

-It reduced the use of chlorine by 50%  and it doesn’t requires salts or any other chemical to treat pool water.

-Air conditioning purifiers prevent the spread of viruses and diseases, and the reproduction of mold in the pipeline.

-They generate 20% savings in water consumption.

-They also sell drinking water dispensers, which allow saving money on water bottles offering the safety to drink 99.9% purified water.

-The products have commercial, residential, industrial and agricultural uses.

According to Brenes, the price depends on the system being installed.
