Naranjo to spend more than ¢600 million in pipe replacement

The Municipality of Naranjo will spend more than ¢ 600 million to replace the pipeline of San Jerónimo aqueduct, due to the poor condition and the age of the current facility , which supplies more than five thousand people.

Gerardo Chacón, Coordinator of Aqueducts of the municipality, indicated that this week the company would start with the work and that they have 10 months to finish it.

The work consists of the total change of 14 kilometers of pipeline.

The work will be done through remote drilling so there will be no ditches and no interruption of service,”

said Chacón.

The General Comptroller of the Republic signed a contract with the city council and the company Fernández Vaglio Constructora SA, for the amount of ¢ 693,528,865.88, which includes ¢ 66,231,885, 98 for management expenses.
