New case of fake bills in San Marcos de Tarrazú

After a new alert related to the circulation of 20,000 colones counterfeit bills, officers of the security forces intervene again on Monday night.

The case was registered in the district of San Marcos in Tarrazú, a province of San José, in a warehouse located opposite to the community’s school.

There, a woman bought several items and paid with a 20,000 colones bill which proved to be fake, according to the complaint made to the authorities.

The suspect, a Nicaraguan national named Concepción, left the place along with two women and a man in a red car, which was chased and arrested by officers of the security forces shortly after.

Two counterfeit bills of 20,000 colones were later seize and a similar situation occurred in Ciudad Quesada San Carlos, Alajuela.
