New exhibitions in the National Library

The National Library joins the activities scheduled for the International Festival of the Arts (FIA) and will host two exhibitions until July 28th.

The first of them entitled “Mascarada”, by the Costa Rican artist Minor Arias, consists of a sample of traditional masks of rites and native parties.

The masks were made with molds made with mud and covered with newspaper. Arias also used nylon thread to give them greater resistance.

The other exhibition, “Blue Monkey”, by the Belgian artist Denis Magerman (Bob Danco), includes 100 works among photographic installations, watercolors, acrylic paintings, collages, object art and videos.

The schedule for both exhibitions is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

In addition, the library will exhibit the works of young people at the Amigo Art workshop of the Camaleonart Foundation.
