New tropical wave could hit the country this weekend

The National Meteorological Institute (IMN) predicts a tropical wave will hit the country between Friday and Saturday.

It would be tropical wave number 43 of the rainy season. However, at least until those days the conditions will be kept under the usual parameters for the month of October.

Juan Carlos Fallas, director of the IMN, said on Monday in an extraordinary session of the Governing Council that he would follow up the issue to determine possible impacts, taking into account the vulnerability of the country after the indirect influence left by Nate.

We are assessing the presence of the tropical wave for the weekend. We are following up and we will see what features it has. It will not necessarily impact the country, but we are in a process of monitoring the characteristics of the storm,”

said Fallas.

What will be the conditions for this week? According to the report, the dawns will be cool, followed by warm mornings.

In the afternoon, isolated rain showers are forecasted for the Central Valley, the Pacific and the Northern Zone, while in the coastal Caribbean there will be very little rainfall.
