Noriega’s health is worsening

According to his relatives, Manuel Antonio Noriega, who had been operated due to a brain tumor, had to return to the operating room after having a bleeding.

Noriega, 83, underwent a “successful” operation on a benign brain tumor at Santo Tomás State Hospital, located in Panama. However, his lawyer, Ezra Ángel, informed that he’s had complications and doctors need to control the bleeding and stabilize the patient.

Panama’s former strongman’s daughters declared that he has a large cerebral hemorrhage.

Noriega was temporarily released from El Renacer Prison, on the banks of the Panama Canal, on January 28th to undergo a meningioma.

Eduardo Reyes, the military’s personal physician, stated that he is a “high-risk patient,” because of his advanced age and other ailments he’s suffered: the tumor has had an unexpected growth and he urgently needed a surgery to avoid damaging the brain system.
