Occupational risks: an insurance is your best ally

Bumps, cuts by objects and tools, as well as falls were the most common cases reported by workers who benefited from occupational insurance during the first half of the year, as confirmed by Sidney Vials , director of Solidarity Insurance from the National Insurance Institute (INS).

INS authorities confirmed that the number of such accidents had an increase of 3.17% from January to July.

Other injuries that people suffer while working are the drop of objects in manipulation, they are trapped by or between objects, they are hit by vehicles, among others.

The insurance protects workers from occupational risks and it also provides rehabilitation, as well as the surgical, hospital, pharmaceutical  medical assistance that they need to reintegrate into society.

In addition, it gives them an economic benefit for the period of temporary disability and compensation in case of permanent disability or death.
