OIJ raids stores for selling fraudulent products

Some 12 shops located in Cartago and San José were raided on Thursday by agents of the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) for an investigation related to the crime of selling, storing and distributing fraudulent products.

The operations were carried out after the police were alerted by an anonymous call. In total, more than 2,500 backpacks and suitcases of a famous brand were confiscated. Apparently, the products are not original.

The confiscated items also include lunchboxes, university-type bags, backpacks, pencil cases, makeup bags and plastic bags with the logo of the brand.
