Panamanian authorities found a body in an area of Chiriquí and they are sure that it is the remains of 41-year-old Diosila Martínez Villareal, a physical education teacher who disappeared more than 20 days ago. They alleged murderer is the woman’s boyfriend, also a teacher, who has fled the country and is hiding in Costa Rica.
According to several Panamanian media, Martínez worked at Puerto Armuelles High School in Barú and had been missing since November 11th.
Her daughter, who is only two years old and who accompanied her on the day she disappeared, was found walking alone in the sector of Santo Domingo de Bugabaen, in the morning of November 12th.
Authorities then investigated the woman’s partner, a mathematics teacher who worked in Chiriquí. The day after being interrogated by the police, the man disappeared and now authorities believe that he is in Costa Rica.
