Pan-sexuality is not in the dictionary, but for some time it has been used around the world, especially among Hollywood celebrities, who have openly released this sexual preference.
But what is it?
It is a sexual orientation characterized by the sentimental, aesthetic, romantic or sexual attraction regardless of the gender or sex of other people.
The term is a neologism constructed with the Greek prefix “pan”, meaning “all”, and the word sexuality.
Costa Rica is not exempt from this trend. Galo Guerra, director of the Costa Rican Behavioral Institute, a psychologist and sexologist, said that pansexual people have arrived to his office.
As explained, in the pan-sexuality what the person loves is the ability to love and in that context, it does not matter whether the other person is male, female, middle-aged, young, bisexual or transgender, because what pansexual people love is the ability to love and be bound.
The psychologist noted that many people say that they are confused, because they do not clearly know if you like men or women because, at some point they were attracted to a transgender.
They want to be clear, because we live in a society where being heretosexual is normal and everything else is twisted, so they feel undefined. What you do is to work with them to help them determine whether they are bisexual, pansexual or homosexual, among others,
