Parents of children with disabilities demand better facilities

On Tuesday morning, a group of parents of children with disabilities who go to the Center for Comprehensive Care Goicoechea, demonstrated on the streets around the center, requiring new facilities for children.

They explained their claims:
– Overcrowding of children, parents and teachers in an infrastructure that does not have adequate space.
– Lack of parking spaces for people with disabilities.

Several parents must mobilize their children in vehicles, but they have to use external parking lots because there are only ten spaces for teachers and therapists,”

explained Ana Irma Cubero, one of the affected mothers.

– Poor management and negligence from the management in the search for a new place to move the Comprehensive Care Center.

Cubero said that they have filed several complaints, in which they request a change of infrastructure. Apparently, there is a norm from the Ministry of Public Education (MEP), but that has not been followed.
