Piedra Extrema competition challenged the strongest

Dubbed one of the more complex cross-country races of the Central Pacific, the sixth edition of the race Piedra Extrema was held on Sunday.

This time, Pablo Delgado Mora got the first place for the second consecutive year, followed by his teammate Fidel Ramírez Fernández and Georsy López (who was participating for the first time).

In the competition, 175 participants from different parts of the country and Central America came to challenge the terrain, climate and water, over more than 22 kilometers between the rugged mountains of Puriscal.

The runners endured a hard test, as they had to move from a hot climate, to a river located inside a natural cave of at least 40 meters, then climb and resume the route to go to the finish line.
