Piza’s subway would cost $950 million in initial phase

On Wednesday, Rodolfo Piza, his candidate for vice president Max Umaña, and his campaign team showed their proposals for the country’s infrastructure.

The subway, the electric train, eliminating traffic jams and prioritizing the construction and expansion of some of the main roads in the country such as Route 27 or Florencio del Castillo are already well-known proposals.

Some of Piza’s rivals describe the subway project as unfair because of the reality of the country. However, the PUSC is ready to build the first line of this means of transport.

We are not talking about science fiction,”

said Umaña, explaining the project, which would go from Desamparados to Guadalupe, passing through San José.

The project, in this first line, would cost $950 million and according to the projections of the Christian Social, construction would be starting in the third year of their possible government.

We have estimated that each kilometer would cost $100 million,”

said the candidate, who added that the work would be carried out with a loan for which $ 58 million a year would be paid, according to the candidate’s accounts.

The Social Christian was emphatic that in his government would create the Infrastructure Council that will function in the Presidential House and that will be directed by the Vice President of the Republic, as a coordinator of the infrastructure projects to be monitored from the MOPT and Conavi.
