Poás Volcano emanated fresh lava on Monday night

Poás volcano emitted fragments of lava on Monday night, according to the report of the National Seismological Network (RSN).

The output of these materials, which is fresh, young lava, occurred from the main point of emission, which experts call “Boca Roja”.

This activity has been frequent since the dawn of July 1st when the ejection of ballistic fragments were expelled between 1:15 and 5:00 a.m. The process was repeated also at night and dawn on July 2nd,”

reported Mauricio Mora, an expert of the entity.

Currently, the Poás Volcano National Park is closed to the public.
