Commissioner José Domingo Cruz, regional chief of the security forces in the southern area, confirmed that authorities intercepted a car with 40 liquor boxes and lots of beers on the road to San Vito de Coto Brus.
A 21-year-old man named Araya was driving the car with the smuggled liquor.
This confiscation of illegal alcoholic drinks occured after one of the safety devices placed in strategic sites. Through checkpoints, authorities have managed to confiscate drug and firearms in different situations.
