A group of officers from the Drug Control Police (PCD) put aside their work against drug trafficking and decided to work with different indigenous areas, where they have eradicated marijuana fields.

Clothing, food and medical care are part of the contributions that the Public Force has committed to donate since 2006.

On the last tour, 197 people received medical care and, through the years, strategic partners and individuals have joined the initiative. For instance, two general practitioners, a vet and a dentist joined the team and they offered consultations on indegenous villages such as Shorbata, Río Congo, Manzanillo, Alto y Bajo Bley, Cerro Papayo, Arcoiris, Bajo Piedra Mesa, Tortuga, Seira and Monteverde

These partnerships and the invaluable voluntary cooperation of these doctors allow us to provide support. We are looking for more partnerships with institutions that allow us to fully resolve the situation,

declared Gustavo Mata, Minister of Security.
