Police rescued animals last weekend

A police’s important task  is to rescue endangered animals, as happened last Friday when they rescued a colt that fell into a pond inhabited by crocodiles.

Furthermore, on Sunday, a member of the border police saved a sloth that was trying to cross a busy street in Corredores.

In addition, 4 newborn raccoons were rescued and transferred to Los Pumas natural reserve.

On the other hand, in Pococí, a man was arrested while carrying a baby agouti and some agouti meat. He was possibly hunting in the mountain. The animal was delivered to experts for care and was later returned to its habitat. The event was coordinated with the Ministry of Environment.
